Ki.Ba. Project was founded thanks to a donation from the Merano Municipal Consumer Cooperative, with the condition of pursuing a social purpose related to childhood.

The Cooperative started its real activity in 2007, investing in summer, extracurricular, tourist and language services and in continuous innovative research in the pedagogical and educational field. Obtaining ISO 2008:9001 certification in January 2009 was an important milestone, leading to a better organisation and definition of roles within the cooperative. In July 2010, the registered office was moved from Laives to Bolzano and the name of the cooperative was changed, mainly to emphasise the independence, profile and mission of Ki.Ba. Project in concrete terms. Another important step was the opening of the 'Kuni Kids Park' at the Twenty shopping centre in Bolzano, which further enriched the cooperative's offer in the leisure, childcare and animation sector.

The path that Ki.Ba. Project has embarked on, mainly in the private social sector, is destined to be further enriched, because it is mainly a matter of adapting programmes to families in need of out-of-school care and entertainment. Ki.Ba. Project has always stood for innovative services for children and will continue to strive to develop constructive solutions for families in the future. The services offered correspond to a flexibility that goes hand in hand with a constantly changing society, especially with regard to the working conditions of parents.
